About Me
My name is Lexia Velika and I fancy myself a connoisseur of sadcat images. Sadcats came into my life somewhere around 2017 with my first documented saved sadcat image labeled as being saved on 28 February 2017. It was the classic sadcat with the tabby sad-crouching while being flipped off pictured on this page.
Sadcats were love at first sight for me. I felt that they encapsulated an emotion that could not be communicated any other way, a form of abject despair that was wholly unique to their sopping wet visage. I felt an immense kinship as someone who could also be described as a sadcat at their core. I henceforth was known as the "Sadcat Guy" due to the sheer amount of times I would constanly post these juciy-eyed cats at the slightest provocation.
In July 2022, I began a project entitled the sadcat-archives [link] where I gathered as many of the sadcat images littering my devices as possible and organized them in one place with the intention of later categorizing them by tags. This never properly panned out, but I still managed to collect a decent amount of sadcats and reduce the bloat of sadcat images occupying my devices. Posts have slowed to a crawl as I've encountered difficulty in discovering novel sadcats worth posting on the blog. The practice of collecting sadcats, however, did further refine my tastes and knowledge of these cats.
About the Site
Sadcat.nekoweb.org was created almost immediately upon my discovery of nekowebs and finding out the url hasn't already been taken. Sadcats have been a long-running interest of mine that I knew I would inevitably create a useless site about, but the perfect opportunity had yet to present itself. There is currently no solid plans for what this site might contain and focus on beyond the delight of exisiting. If you have any suggestions for improving this site or anything that might have a good home here, please feel free to reach out at: wolfpitmachine@gmail.com
